Maxcom Users plz printscreen ur router settings and attach it here, i just wanted to see if thr's sumthing wrong with my router settings since i get very high pings tho the dl speed is ok.

Only print screen Advanced>Wan>Maxcom setup

What things can cause ping unstablility provided that my connection speed is constant and im not running any other       internet applications in background?

good job imba....  now those pings are better than my 512kbps.

You wont find better pings than those in Pakistan.  If you are still feeling lag it has to be something else.

But I can assure you, the pings which you just posted are the best possible pings you can find from any pakistani ISP atm. Its almost same as Cybernets ping.


try to play with your graphic card or some other setting, maybe add more ram.... i dont think its ISP.

yaar the problem im having is unstable ping, when i was testing my ping at that moment ping was stable but most of the times it gets unstable, thats y i was asking for router settings perhaps my router settings r not what maxcom actually prefers (meiney thorey keerey kar diye they settings mein).

yar actually my router belongs to my brother who is not in Pakistan atm.

I do not have access to the router settings, and i dont think its the router.

I think it has something to do with your computer having spyware/viruses or your phone line.

i dont have ne virus/spyware on my pc i've got 2 antivirus ( 1 remains active all the time) ,2 spyware remover and mcaffee firewall.

THere might be sumthing wrong with my line or perhaps with maxcom line.
How do i noe if thr's sumthing wrong with my phone line since thr's no distrotion during calls.

yaar atleast mujhey apney modem ka naam bata do Cuz i think maxcom ne mujhey jo modem diya hai woh bekaar hai.

Its called Alcatel SpeedTouch Home.

And its configuration page looks something like this.


I think maxcom uses only one kind of modem i.e SpeedTouch Home.

Your best bet is to call up on 111-111-375 and get automated help. If that doesnt work ask them to call a lineman from ptcl and as well as from maxcom to help you fix it.

Tell them your getting unstable pings and they should be around 45 constant at night and 60ms during day.

Since I am on 256kbps, I get 45MS all the time

0_o They have handed me a different modem ( Brand name shiro), and i dont think its good enuf since its options are different from most of the other modems.
